Annuitisation changes for TSRF provident fund members – 1 March 2021 is an important date for all provident fund members
Due to the steep rise in Covid-19 positive cases everywhere the TSRF Walk-in Centres will close for walk- in members from 17 December 2020. The drop boxes at the Walk- in Centres will be available for members to “drop off” their claim forms or any correspondence for the Fund. These boxes will be emptied daily, and staff will deal with any urgent problems/ issues. Members will receive a sms to confirm that their documents were received.
As a ripple effect of the Covid-19 pandemic and the financial strain it placed on employers, some employers
are currently retrenching members. Many of these members arrive at the client contact centres unprepared
without any claim forms or the necessary supporting documents required.
In what is hopefully the aftermath of the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic, it is clear that 2020 has been a trying and difficult year for everyone. Even now, we are all still facing the unknown and much uncertainty of what lies ahead. As our recovery rate remains consistent, we have to keep up our vigilance by wearing our masks, washing our hands and distancing ourselves from others in public spaces. We should remain accountable and responsible for our own and others’ health and wellbeing.
